Principal's Message

Welcome to Hemet Elementary, where “The Sky Is the Limit!”.  Hemet Elementary has a rich history in our community dating back over 90 years to 1927.  After a seven year pause in operation, our beautiful new school site is beginning its fourth year.   Currently in my 28th year as an educator, I have had many different experiences, including 13 years as a teacher in grades 1-6, serving as a coordinator for state and federal projects, a site based literacy coach and as an assistant principal.  I am the proud mom of three children who have attended and graduated from schools in the Hemet Unified School District and have several family members that actually attended Hemet El in previous generations!  I am humbled by the honor and privilege to serve as the principal of our school!  Whether you are a returning family, an alumni, or new to our school or school district, we welcome you to the family!

We have a talented staff comprised of incredible teachers and support staff who are ready to support our scholars both academically and socially and create a culture of learning that will insure college and career readiness for all!  As you explore our website, you will find information on our two main school initiatives – Spanish/English Dual Immersion and STEAM/Project Lead the Way Curriculum, and.  I am very proud of the hard work and dedication of our teams in creating a culture focused on a growth mindset and innovation.  In addition, we are a Love and Logic School (www.loveandlogic.com) and have 100% of our certificated staff trained.  This year, we continue to invite our parents and guardians to attend sessions planned throughout the year for Parenting With Love and Logic.  These will be offered in both English and Spanish.  Hemet Elementary is an inclusive school and we welcome you to join in our efforts to build our community teams that includes PTA, School Site Council, ELAC and more!

I recognize and share the concerns that many of you may be experiencing as we look forward to starting school during our current pandemic conditions.  Please rest assured that we are planning diligently over the summer to insure that we are able to provide the best possible learning conditions for our scholars when we open in August.  At this time, we anticipate our first day of instruction being August 17th.  Please continue to check back here beginning in the final week of July for more updates.
